Account Hierarchy Model
Paysafe supports a hierarchy structure to mirror the relationships between your various business units.
| Name | Description | Relationship |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | This represents the top level of your business. For example, this might be your Group function. Paysafe creates the Platform account for you. | A Platform can have one or more Merchants linked to it. |
| Merchant | This represents one of your business units or a merchant you have onboarded. | A Merchant can have one or more Merchant Accounts linked to it. |
| Merchant Account | This is the account through which transactions are processed. It includes the bank at which transactions will be settled. | Different payment method/currency combinations can be specified for each Merchant Account. |
