Overview

Payment Facilitator (PayFac) solution covers the gap where it is difficult and expensive for smaller merchants to access payment capabilities, and acquirers to be able to facilitate services to smaller merchants.    

The PayFac Submerchant API will support all of Paysafe's new and existing payment facilitators in providing services to merchants and their subaccounts (Submerchants). 

• PayFac - A Payment Facilitator (PayFac) is a service provider that simplifies the process of enabling merchants to accept electronic payments.
• Submerchant - A submerchant is a merchant who operates under a primary PayFac account. The submerchant inherits the parent account's payment processing capabilities and features. 

1. The PayFac can onboard the submerchant using Paysafe’s PayFac Submerchant API. 

2. The API provides an end-to-end automated onboarding and setup the submerchants under the PayFac account. 

3. The PayFac Submerchant API allows adding or modifying processing currencies during sub-merchant creation. 

4. Sub-merchants automatically inherit all configurations (e.g., fees, discount rates, settings, processing options) from their parent PayFac. 

PayFac Submerchant API is supported in the following regions:

2. UK
