About Openbucks

Openbucks is a cash alternative solution founded in 2011 and acquired by Paysafe in 2020. We enable online merchants to accept cash via local retailer gift cards as a form of payment from consumers who do not use bank accounts or credit cards to transact online (non-banked, underbanked or cash-preferred consumers). We do this by partnering with major retailers in the United States including CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, Obucks and PaysafeCard to allow consumers to use their gift cards to convert cash to an online form of payment with integrated merchants. Popular accepted merchant verticals include:  Games, sweeps, digital goods, ecommerce, mobile top up, bill pay, travel and hospitality.

Merchant onboarding and settlements

You can choose to have your settlements processed in one of two ways:

Option 1: Skrill Wallet settlements, where you will contract and onboard with Skrill Quick Checkout and use the required parameters outlined in the Best practice section below.

Option 2: Direct ACH settlements, where you will contract and onboard directly with PaysafeCard or Openbucks and use the required parameters outlined in the Best practice section.

For additional information on your settlement options, please contact your assigned solution engineer/ support manager.
