Getting Started

Before you begin with Phase I migration to the Paysafe Payments API, we recommend that you review this section:

  • Migration to the Paysafe Payments API will affect the following functionality of your current NETELLER integration:
    • Payments (Transfer In)
    • Standalone Credits (Transfer Out)
    • Lookup
  • All other features of NETELLER REST API functions continue to be supported as-is.
  • You will continue to log in to the existing NETELLER Merchant Dashboard to manage your transactions.
  • All details of the integration with the Paysafe Payments API are explained in the NETELLER Integration Guide.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Get Your Test API Keys
  2. Choose your Preferred Type of Integration
  3. Integrate
  4. Test in our Sandbox
  5. Go Live

Get Your Test API Keys

The Paysafe Payments API uses two distinct API keys:

  • The Secret Key: used for all server-to-server API requests.
  • The Public Key: used as the value for the apiKey parameter when using the Paysafe Checkout SDK option.

Paysafe will provide you with the credentials in the NETELLER Merchant Dashboard. To access your keys, sign in to the NETELLER Merchant Dashboard and click Developer -> Apps. You will find a new section that displays the Paysafe Payments API keys that you need to use:

  • The Secret Key: used for all server-to-server API requests.
  • The Public Key: used as the value for the apiKey parameter when using the Paysafe Checkout SDK option.

API endpoint: https://api.test.paysafe.com/

Choose your Preferred Type of Integration

The Paysafe Payments API supports two integration types:

Direct API Integration

This method allows you to collect user payment information on your website while processing payments and other transactions using secure server-to-server API requests sent to Paysafe.

In the case of NETELLER payments, you need to redirect the customer to the NETELLER page for the customer to complete the transaction.

Paysafe Checkout

This method allows you to take payments from any payment method using a secure overlay that is hosted by Paysafe.

In the case of NETELLER payments, the Paysafe Checkout handles the transaction.

Integrate

Integrate with the new Paysafe Payments APIs:

  • To accept Payments from your customers
  • To issue Standalone Credits to your customers

Payment: Transfer In

Name Endpoint
Create a Payment Handle POST /paymenthandles
Confirm Payment POST /payments

Standalone Credits: Transfer Out

Name Endpoint
Create a Payment Handle POST /paymenthandles
Process Standalone Credits POST /standalonecredits

Lookup

Name Endpoint
Get Payment GET /payments
Get Standalone Credits GET /standalonecredits

Please refer to the NETELLER Integration Guide for more information.

Test in our Sandbox

The Paysafe Test environment can be used to test websites or applications without performing transactions through the Production (live) processing platform. Payment transactions processed in the Test environment are executed on a simulator. Depending on the information provided with the transaction request, the simulator returns either a successful (approved) or failed (declined) response.

With the Paysafe Payments API, you can:

  • Verify support for all the operation types that you require.
  • Review all common errors as well as errors that may occur for each operation.
  • Verify the lengths and format for all attributes you send.

Go Live

Test accounts enable you to process API transactions that mirror the functionality in the Production environment. Once you are satisfied with your integration to the Test environment, you must repeat the configuration changes made to your Test account on your Production account.

You have to use the following details to connect to each Paysafe environment-Test and Production.

  • API endpoint: https://api.paysafe.com/
  • Authentication credentials: Paysafe will provide you with the credentials in the NETELLER Merchant Dashboard.
  • You cannot use your Test credentials to process transaction requests in the Production environment.
